Camaro’s Gang-Ali Shuffle
This may be one of the best italo disco videos I’ve ever seen! I love how a lot of the bands call themselves gangs. Squash Gang, Baby’s Gang and Camaro’s Gang are just a few. I wonder what the history is behind that?
Two Minds Crack-The Hunger and the Greed
I really like this version of The Hunger and the Greed more than the one that is on their full length LP, The Victory Parade. The album as a whole, however, has really grown on me and I find myself looking forward to every song.
Baltimora-Woody Boogie
Just picked this up at the Spring Flea:
Pretty descent italo disco. Pretty weird, but it’s really starting to grow on me. This is one of the top three tracks on the album.
The Lover Speaks-No More I Love You’s
I can not stop listening to The Lover Speaks self titled LP. I listen to it one to three times daily. The whole album takes a while to sink in, but once it does it is hard to get enough of it. This is not my favorite track on the album but it is a really good one (so is Annie Lennox’s version). I got this album in the dollar bin and ripped it to MP3s and if anyone wants the files let me know and I can get them to you. You can listen to all the songs on youtube as well. “Still Faking this Art of Love” is still probably my favorite track.
Scritti Politti-Absolute
Tried to get into this band a while ago with no luck. After seeing this I’m prepared to give them another go. I see the album this track is on all the time in the dollar bin. This song kind of reminds me of Prefab Sprout.
